Looking for authentic Thai cuisine in the heart of the city? Then head along to the Thai Garden. Situated close to the Spanish Arch in Galway, looking out onto the Fish Market and the river Corrib, the Thai Garden is one restaurant in Galway where you can always expect a warm Thai greeting and traditional Thai food that’s second-to-none.
Inside, the decor keeps with the Thai theme, so you enjoy your meal in a classic Thai setting that’s relaxed and informal. When it comes to service, that’s traditionally Thai too – attentive, welcoming and friendly.
But it’s the food that really stands out. The menu at the Thai Garden features a varied selection of fish, beef, chicken, pork, duck and prawn, as well as many superb Vegetarian and Coeliac options.
Whatever you choose, you’re in for a real treat. All the food is traditional Thai cuisine, mainly from central and south east Thailand, although the chef will very often add his own daily specials selected from other regions within Thailand. From classic dishes such as chicken satay to the more exotic tom yam ta lay, a spicy fisherman’s soup for two, each dish is created using authentic Thai techniques under the expert hand of head chef Thawatchai.
A full a la carte menu with tantalising chef specials is available every days while Early Bird menus can be had Sunday to Friday.
The Thai Garden also has a second dining room available for parties and functions that can accommodate up to 40 people.
