It's Spooktacular....it's devilish...and it’s gonna be one helluva party! The Galway Abooo Halloween Festival returns to the streets of Galway’s Latin Quarter on Sat 29th and Sun 30th October. And don’t forget to get dressed in your best fancy dress when visiting the Latin Quarter on Halloween weekend!

Galway Abooo Spooktacular Street Spectacle - Saturday 29th October

When: Saturday 29th October, 8pm – 10pm
Where: The Streets of The Latin Quarter
Galway Abooo Halloween Festival kicks off on Saturday 29th October at 8pm with the Galway Abooo Spooktacular Street Spectacle in association with LUXe Theatre Company . LUXe are an award winning company who will transform the streets of the Latin Quarter into an illuminated feast of exotic sculpture, wild music and spectacular feats - defying gravity, spinning fire and igniting the imagination with light, sound, movement and shadow. It’s all you might expect from a Carnival...with a Halloween Twist!


Family Fun Day – Sunday 30th October

‘Trick or Treat’

When: Sunday 30th October, 12pm – 4pm
Where: The Streets of The Latin Quarter
Pick up your Trick or Treat bag or bring your own and come and ‘Trick or Treat’. The Latin Quarter businesses have come together to organise a street-wide trick or treat. This will take place from 12pm to 4pm and dotted throughout The Latin Quarter will be loads of Trick or Treat stands where you can come and collect loads of goodies - and play some spooky games!


Canonball Circus with The Fanzini Brothers

When: Sunday 30th October with shows at 1pm and 3pm
Where: Mainguard Street
With no expense spared, The Fanzini Brothers return to Galway with their Canonball Circus. Skill is efortlessly blended with slapstick comedy making this a show not be missed!


Kids' Fancy Dress Party

When: Sunday 30th October, 2.30pm – 4pm
Where: Kellys Bar (Upstairs) on Bridge Street
Tickets: €2 Entry on the door, with all proceeds going to COPE Galway
Get dressed up and come along to Kellys (Upstairs) on Bridge Street for the Kids' Fancy Dress Party. There will be prizes galore for the best costumes - and a soundtrack that will get everyone into the 'spirit' of Halloween!


Michael Jackson Thriller Dance

When: Sunday 30th October, 4pm
Where: The Spanish Arch
Take part in a re-enactment of the Thriller video in the Latin Quarter on Sunday afternoon. Shamone! Missing this would be a nightmare. Our good friends at i Radio are going to ‘lead us all on our scary dance’ and their website will feature lots more information on dance moves on www.iradio.ie. Only one thing left to say...He Heeeee!


Fancy Dress Party Trail

When: Sunday 30th October from 8pm
Where: Various bars in The Latin Quarter
On Sunday night, many of the bars in The Latin Quarter will be hosting fancy dress parties with prizes galore for the most daring and devilish. See the Latin Quarter website for more information.
